Trail to historic Helgafossen Falls

Helgafossen is a great trail specially tailored to families at Skeikampen. The round trip covers around 4 km of flat terrain. It takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish, unless you decide to linger at the waterfall. The terrain makes for easy walking and before you get to the Skeiselva river, you can hear it far off in the distance. In the old days, guests used to bathe in the river and at Helgafossen there was even a bathing hut so that guests could change into their swimming costumes with their modesty intact.
